Sovereign Elizabeth II

The Elizabeth II Golden Sovereign is a special version of the classic British Sovereign, minted in honour of Queen Elizabeth II. Minted since 1957, this coin has the same historical features as the traditional Sovereign, but with the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse. The reverse features the iconic St George and the Dragon design, designed by Benedetto Pistrucci.
