The "10 Francs Coq" (or "10 Francs Marianne Coq") is a French gold coin, often called a "half-Napoleon", which was minted from 1899 to 1914. It depicts both Marianne, the symbol of the French Republic, and the rooster, the national symbol . The coin was engraved by Jules-Clément Chaplain, and is therefore also called "10 Francs Coq de Chaplain".
